Outreach Program
The Center for Arms Control and Non-Proliferation travels the country with its team of retired military officers – each with decades of experience in the armed forces, government, and academia – and other staff and experts as part of its nationwide public education and outreach program.
The Center is dedicated to educating the American public and opinion leaders on national security issues. This includes raising awareness about preventing the spread of nuclear weapons, preparing for the threat of nuclear terrorism, and overcoming the foreign policy and security challenges we face in the 21st century.
Our objective is to share crucial knowledge and empower a new generation of leaders, decision-makers, educators, media, and citizens to promote vigorous debate and develop sensible national security policies for the future.
Since the Center began its program in 2007, it has addressed or is scheduled to address issues in U.S. nuclear weapons and foreign policy to audiences in:
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
San Antonio, Texas
Greensboro and Greenville, North Carolina
San Diego, California
Fort Lauderdale and Boca Raton, Florida
Denver, Colorado
Columbia, South Carolina
Las Vegas, Nevada
Columbus, Ohio
Greenville, Tennessee
